How we help, at every stage
Most firms pick up a business once it is already running. We work with owners earlier than that: from the first business plan and financing application, through the years where you are building out the operation, to the ongoing bookkeeping, payroll, and tax work that keeps it running. One firm for the whole lifecycle means we already know your numbers when the next decision comes up.

Industries we know
Trucking & Logistics
Incorporation, bookkeeping, GST/HST, payroll, and tax planning built around how trucking actually runs: vehicle and equipment depreciation, and where it makes sense to split the operating business from the equipment ownership so growth financing does not put both at risk.
Construction & Trades
Job costing that tells you which jobs are actually profitable, cash flow planning that accounts for holdbacks (typically 5 to 10 percent of every progress payment sitting out for months), and lender ready financials when it is time to finance the next job or piece of equipment.
Agriculture & Farming
Year end accounting and tax planning that accounts for how farm income actually moves, including succession planning that protects qualified farm property status and the lifetime capital gains exemption when the operation eventually transitions.
Healthcare
Professional corporation setup and the salary versus dividend planning that comes with it, so incorporated earnings are not taxed at the personal rate by default, plus the bookkeeping and CRA compliance that keeps a busy practice organized. Dentists, doctors, chiropractors, and other regulated health professionals.
Law Corporations
Financial statements, corporate tax, and shareholder compensation planning built for how law corporations actually distribute income, so the accounting does not get in the way of practicing law.
Real Estate & Realtors
Incorporation (PREC) planning, commission and expense tracking, and GST remittance method selection. The difference between the Quick Method and Regular Method alone can matter more than people expect once volume grows.

Real results
Speed, when speed mattered
A veterinary clinic acquisition had been stalled for four months under a previous advisor. We stepped in and ran the process directly. The deal closed within a month.
Financing relationships that get deals done
We have secured acquisition and expansion financing for healthcare practices through RBC, TD, BDC, BMO, and Scotiabank: the kind of lender relationships that come from doing this repeatedly, not once.
From an idea to a financed business
An entrepreneur came to us with a concept for a children’s indoor recreation business and no financing in place. We built the projections that got it funded. A separate client started with a single truck and, with our ongoing tax and financing support, grew into a multi truck fleet.
A net worth audit, unwound
CRA opened a net worth audit after a client’s small ownership stake in a jointly held property did not line up cleanly with reported income. The client’s prior representation had not been able to get CRA to understand the real story. We broke down every transaction to a level the client could follow, assembled the documentation to back each one, and brought the assessment down considerably, to an amount the client was satisfied was fair.
A six figure PST assessment, reduced to a few hundred dollars
A client came to us with a significant BC PST judgment against them. Prior advice had not characterized the underlying transactions in a way that could have avoided the assessment entirely. Over the course of a year, we rebuilt the case. The judgment came down from six figures to a few hundred dollars.
Audit defense, generally
Beyond these two, we regularly represent clients through CRA and PST audits. The same approach every time: understand the transactions better than the auditor does, document accordingly, and negotiate from there.
