Ghuman & Associates Inc. is an accounting firm with offices in Langley and Abbotsford, British Columbia, and Brampton, Ontario. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information through our website, ghumans.ca, and our marketing.

What we collect

Through our contact form, we collect:

- The service you are interested in (a dropdown list: corporate taxes, bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, CFO services, consultation, personal taxes, or other)
- Your message
- How you heard about us (a dropdown list: Google search, Google Maps, referred by a friend or client, referred by another professional, Facebook or Instagram, saw an ad, a professional association newsletter or magazine, been a client before, or other)
Through our pricing form, we collect the details you choose to give in that form, such as your business name, the services you need, and your contact details.
If you use our chat widget, we collect the messages you send and anything you choose to share in them, such as your name or contact details.

Why we use it

If you withdraw consent, we will stop using your information for that purpose, except where we are permitted or required to keep using it without consent. Service providers
We use the following providers to run our website and marketing. Each receives only the information needed for its function.
- Google Analytics 4, to measure website traffic. It collects device, browser, and approximate location data, and the pages you view.
- Google Ads, to measure which ads bring visitors and calls. Its tag stores a cookie with a unique identifier tied to your ad click.
- Tawk.to, to run our website chat. It receives your chat messages and any contact details you type into the chat, plus your IP address and device information. Tawk.to processes this data in the United States.
- Trustindex, to display our Google reviews on the website. It processes the reviewer’s name, review text, rating, and date of the review, as collected by Google.
- Optimole, to deliver optimized images. It automatically detects your device type, browser, and IP address to choose the right image size and format.
- Hostinger, our web host.
- Wordfence, our website firewall. It collects your IP address and browsing behaviour on our site to block attacks. It processes this data in the United States or other countries where its provider, Defiant, operates.
- Complianz, our cookie consent tool. It stores an anonymized version of your IP address as a record of your cookie consent choice.
- Forminator, our form plugin. It stores your form submissions, including your name, email, phone number, and message, in our website’s database.
- LiteSpeed Cache, our page caching tool. It states that it does not collect visitor data; it stores copies of our own web pages to make the site load faster.
Storage and processing outside Canada
Some of the service providers we use store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada may be subject to the laws of that country.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption on our website. Our website is protected by the Wordfence firewall. Access to the information you give us is limited to staff who need it to do their work.
Your rights
Under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer, below.
